HAMMER STRING MEMBRANE MODE was recorded in a top floor flat on Garnet Hill in Glasgow, Scotland circa 2001 using very lofi technology (an old fostex cassette four-track and a 'mini-disc') while an episode of 'Taggart' was being filmed in the close outside. The collection was never released in it's entirity so I thought I would release it here.

This album was the precursor to the 'Our Heart Beats With Joy The Curved World Outside' Album released in 2004 on the benbecula Label

Piano on 'Steel Belt Ensemble' was recorded in Peutlingen, Saarland Germany. Werner Cadario features right at the end with a few notes of a traditional german tune.
